Heartsaver CPR & AED Online Part 1

For professional providers whose work requires they be credentialed, as well as for community training. Self-paced training that gives employees the confidence to act quickly in an emergency!

Here’s a flexible, time-saving option for workplaces that need to provide safety training. Delivered in three parts, this course covers adult/child CPR with mask, adult/child choking, and adult/child AED, and offers optional modules in infant CPR and choking. Part 1 delivers the cognitive learning through Web-based, self-paced modules that help students gain comfort performing the skills they will need for Parts 2 and 3 — during which they will be required to meet with an American Heart Association instructor at When Seconds Count, Inc. and complete a hands-on skills practice session and a skills test. Upon successful completion of all three parts, students receive a course completion card valid for two years. Perfect for first-time or renewal training, this course helps employers accommodate diverse learning needs and meets the same objectives as the classroom-based Heartsaver AED course — in only two hours!

Heartsaver CPR AED Online is a self-directed course that uses interactive lessons and videos to teach you CPR, AED and choking knowledge. This program is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs an AHA course completion card. You will learn:

  • Adult CPR and AED use
  • Adult Choking
  • Child CPR and AED use (optional)
  • Infant CPR (optional)
  • Child Choking (optional)
  • Infant Choking (optional)
  • CPR instruction includes high-quality compressions, airway management, breathing, and how to use a mask.

Once you begin the course, you’ll have access to the online lessons, videos, manuals and resources for 2 years! And you can start and stop the course at your convenience until you have finished it at your own pace.

Successful completion of the full Heartsaver CPR AED Course includes three (3) parts:

  • Part 1, Heartsaver First Aid Online Course
  • Part 2, a hands-on skills practice session with When Seconds Count within 60 days
  • Part 3, a hands-on skills test with with When Seconds Count within 60 days

BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR Online

Students will learn single-rescuer and team basic life support for adults, children and infants through 5 interactive exercises, scenarios and a written test. Navigation controls allow students to move easily through content as they learn how to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilation and provide early use of an AED. Course also teaches relief of choking.

This self-paced course is accessible anytime from any computer. Students can access the BLS for Healthcare Providers Student Manual, BLS Pocket Reference Card and more for 24 months.

This course may be used for initial or renewal BLS for Healthcare Providers Course completion.

Heartsaver First Aid w/ CPR & AED Online

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Online is a self-directed course that uses interactive lessons and videos to teach you comprehensive First Aid, CPR, and AED knowledge. This program is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs an AHA course completion card. You will learn:

  • First aid basics

  • Injury emergencies
  • Environmental emergencies
  • Adult CPR and AED use
  • Adult choking
  • Child CPR and AED use (optional)
  • Infant CPR (optional)

First Aid instruction includes bandaging, bleeding, wounds, choking, shock, seizure, fainting, broken bones, sprains, burns, bites, stings, poison, and temperature-related conditions, to name a few.

Once you begin the course, you’ll have access to the online lessons, videos, manuals and resources for 2 years! And you can start and stop the course at your convenience until you have finished it at your own pace.

Successful completion of the full Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course includes two (2) parts:

Rhythm Adult On Line

$45

For healthcare providers needing basic rhythm recognition skills, including those preparing for ACLS. This course teaches:

  • Basic rhythm understanding
  • The relationship between the ECG strip and heart impulses
  • Common arrhythmias
  • Identifying and distinguishing various arrhythmias
  • This continuing education activity is certified for physicians, nurses, pharmacists and EMTs/paramedics.

This course is not compatible with Macintosh computers or operating systems.

Rhythm Pediatric On Line

$45

For healthcare providers needing basic pediatric rhythm recognition skills, including those preparing for PALS training. This course teaches:

  • Basic pediatric rhythm understanding
  • The relationship between the ECG strip and heart impulses
  • Common pediatric arrhythmias
  • Identifying and distinguishing various pediatric arrhythmias
  • This continuing education activity is certified for nurses and EMTs/paramedics. (CME credit for U.S. residents)

This course is not compatible with Macintosh computers or operating systems.
